Meet Stephanie
Executive Director and Head Riding Instructor
CHA Master Level Instructor
Stephanie Keene is the founder of Hearts & Horses Riding Center and has spent her life immersed in the horse world. Her journey into therapeutic riding began when she witnessed firsthand the powerful impact horses could have on children with physical and developmental challenges, inspiring her to dedicate her career to equine-assisted healing. A PATH International–certified instructor and longtime advocate for therapeutic riding, Stephanie was an active participant in launching the Maine State Equestrian Special Olympics program and continues to serve as a committee member and facilitator for certifying other coaches. Through her leadership, education, and deep respect for horses, she has created a safe, inclusive space where people of all ages and abilities can grow, heal, and thrive.
